Small batches
Each piece is cut and sewn individually — usually no more than six of any one thing. When it's gone, it's gone (or I make you a custom one).

A few of the fabrics on the cutting table this month.
Each piece is cut and sewn individually — usually no more than six of any one thing. When it's gone, it's gone (or I make you a custom one).
Linen, cotton, hemp and deadstock fabric. No polyester blends, no mystery materials — just cloth that breathes and softens with washing.
Extra buttons, spare thread and mending instructions ship with every order. A well-loved tote should outlive its first owner.

Made just for you
Want a tote in a specific fabric? A baby blanket in your nursery colors? A set of napkins for a wedding gift? Tell me what you're imagining — I'll sketch it up and quote you before anything gets cut.
Kind words
The market tote is my daily bag now. The linen has softened beautifully and the stitching is impeccable — you can tell someone cared.
I ordered a baby blanket in our nursery colors and it arrived wrapped in tissue with a handwritten note. Already planning my next order.
The apron fits perfectly and the pockets are actually useful. Karin even sent spare thread. Highly recommend.

Ready-made pieces ship within 3–5 business days. Custom pieces ship in 2–4 weeks. You'll get tracking the moment it leaves my table.
Mostly linen and cotton, plus hemp and deadstock fabric. Everything is pre-washed before cutting so it won't shrink on you later.
Cold gentle cycle or hand wash, then hang or lay flat to dry. Press with a warm iron while slightly damp. Avoid the dryer — it ages the cloth.
30 days for ready-made items in original condition. Custom pieces are non-returnable but I'll work with you to get it right before it's made.

About Karin Joyce
I learned to sew from my grandmother at her kitchen table, and never really stopped. After years of sewing for friends (and their friends, and their friends' friends), I opened Home Crafts by Karin in 2021.
Everything is made in my home studio in Arlington — usually with a podcast on and a cat on the fabric. I cut each piece by hand, sew it on a 1970s Bernina that I will never replace, and finish every edge so it lasts.
If you ever want to see a piece in person before buying, just ask. The door's open, the kettle's on.
